CariVu – Embracing New Technologies

We are delighted to announce the acquisition of a recent but already well-tested technology which will go a long way in reconciling parents’ reservations with the needs of timely diagnostics.

CariVu is a device which allows caries detection through use of transillumination with near-infrared light. Because the technology does not utilize radiation, it can be adopted safely and repeatedly in monitoring any areas of concern on the body of the tooth.

While radiographs will remain a very important tool, CariVu can support them in most cases with excellent results. Parents who are wary even of the extremely low radiation levels featured by our equipment, will surely appreciate the opportunity to minimize exposure even further.
